What is a megacity?
A megacity is a metropolitan area with a total population over ten million people. A megacity can be a single metropolitan area or two or more metropolitan areas that converge. Tokyo is the largest megacity in the world with 37,900,000 inhabitants! That's almost double of Australia's population, just in one city!
